Operation Day

The night before my circumcision I could not sleep whatsoever. I was anxious to get it the procedure. I made sure I woke up extra early to make sure to have a stress reliever before I was out of commission.

I arrived to the surgical clinic on-time and checked in. They took me to prepare for my surgery. Changed into the gown and surgical cap. The IV was put in and after a while the doctor and anesthesiologist came by to explain exactly how the procedure was going to happen. 

After all the preparation and chit-chat with docs and nurses they put the first round of anesthesia and within 2 minutes they took me to the operating room (I was on general anesthesia). They had me switch beds and got me comfortable and gave me the last dose of anesthesia. I passed out within 15 seconds of them giving me the dose.

By the time I knew it I was in the recovery room with a nurse patiently waiting for me to wake up. Due to the anesthesia I did not feel anything what so ever. I was barely able to feel my legs. It felt like I was in a deep sleep and had a rough workout the night before. After gaining some consciousness and I asked the nurse how everything came out (since I was not able to feel anything in my area and did not want to do a crotch grab in front of the nurse. haha). Luckily the nurse turned away to get me a cup of water and reached down to feel. I then realized that I was bandaged up pretty well. (It was a relief to feel bandages because for a moment I thought that the procedure did not happen. lol)

Thirty minutes passed in the recovery room and I was being discharged from the clinic. Felt a little woozy the way home and I had quite discomfort in the groin area. I got into bed and laid down since I was feeling a little nauseous from the anesthesia. I was then curious to see what my penis looked like even bandaged up. I then find thick layers of bandages compressing my procedure with a small opening for me to urinate.

In the conversation I had with my doctor he said to remove the bandages the following day. The bandages are to compress the incision and prevent swelling.
